Dear MVMAA Members and Supporters,
During my first opportunity to be a part of a military/civilian partnership with Marine Corps Base Hawaii more than 25 years ago, I witnessed the value of intentional interaction between military leadership and the business community. In recent years, I've had the privilege of being a representative of the Kettering Moraine Oakwood Chamber of Commerce on the MVMAA Board and have watched how this organization has continued the mission of effectively connecting the valuable military assets of the Miami Valley with the small business and civic communities.
This past year, under the able leadership of Colonel (Ret) Stephen Goeman, MVMAA has made significant contributions that have furthered our mission of assisting in meeting the needs of the military personnel and their families. These contributions included a $12,000 gift to the WPAFB Fisher House, more than $7,000 in awards to local military men and women who have exemplified the principals of strong work ethic and good citizenship, and supporting many other activities supporting and affirming our enlisted men and women.
The year 2017 promises to be full of change and opportunity, and I am committed to leveraging my passions for strong military support and small business growth through Chambers of Commerce to help the MVMAA continue growing in both membership and support for our military community.
I thank my fellow members, in advance, for your help in continuing and enhancing the MVMAA legacy that was started more than 35 years ago by dedicated business and military leaders who had a vision for a collaborative partnership that continues today.
